It will not be necessary to provide any personal-related data for downloading and using the EU-Cleaner.
The Avaira EU-Cleaner collects and processes data only in connection with updates. Updates will be used for the purpose in effectively freeing your computer of threats and to keep the product itself up-to-date. By implementing updates, the Avira EU-Cleaner connects with the update server at Avira Operations GmbH & Co. KG. The update server holds the latest product versions (if such exists), in particular the latest virus signatures and detection routines. This way the Avira EU-Cleaner will always be up-to-date and will be able to free your computer from the latest threats. With this update method, the so-called UAS (User Agent String) including the ip-address from your computer will only be transferred, and saved in the weblog on Avira’s update server.

The collected data will be anonymous and used exclusively for creating statistics. The statistical information serves mainly for improvement and further devolvement of the Avira EU-Cleaner.
By using the Avira EU-Cleaner you can send the scan results in form of a report to the Anti-Botnet Advisory Centre. The report serves solely for product improvement and will only be used for statistically purposes. Sending the report is absolutely voluntary. You will be asked after every scan whether you want to send the report or not. You can view the contents of the report before it is sent. The contents of the report will be encrypted and anonymised (no personal data will be transferred). The transfer itself will be via an encrypted connection.
